February 14th. Valentine’s Day. The day when loved ones run around attempting to impress their potential/current suitor with chocolate deliciousness. You know, like my Gluten Free Chocolate Self Saucing Pudding!
I find that these days you pretty much fall into two camps in regards to Valentine’s Day.
1. You’re single and you despise everybody else that is posting mushy lovey dovey crap. Oh and you just want to bury yourself in a bottle of wine and block of chocolate until it all blows over.
2. You’re in a great relationship that doesn’t need validating because of a special date and despise everybody else that makes a big deal about V-Day…. BUT you still wouldn’t mind being surprised with wine, chocolate and flowers. (This is totally me, by the way).
Actually I think, technically we need a third camp here, but you get the point.
Whether you believe Valentine’s Day to be a whole lot of baloney or not, I think we can mutually agree on the point that there should be chocolate involved. …. so maybe we should just make it the official International Day of Chocolate Eating & Wine Drinking.
Valentine's Day = International Day of Chocolate Eating & Wine Drinking.
Now I bet I know what you’re thinking. Here she goes, off about chocolate again, and she’s going to tell me to bake up this amazing cake. Which you know, will require me going to the shops and actually baking something… and then waiting to you know, eat it, which is kind of the whole point… so maybe I’ll just buy a big block of chocolate and be done with it.
Well sorry, but I’m going to prove you wrong.
There is nothing worse than needing a chocolate fix, or wanting to create something really sweet and simple, and having to slave away in the kitchen for hours on end to get it.
Trust me. I may be a baker, but I totally get it. That’s why I knew I had to share this amazing recipe with you. It’s beyond quick and crazy delicious. And when I say quick, I mean, done and dusted, ready to dig in and enjoy it, in under 10 minutes! Yup! That damn quick.
Oh and did I mention you don’t need your oven either? Or any fancy pants ingredients. Just some flour, sugar and cocoa, all stuff you pretty much keep stocked in the cupboard, right?
So whether it be for Valentine’s Day or just because you’ve got a hankering, you have to give this Gluten Free Chocolate Self Saucing Pudding for Two a shot!
